The Bradford White FT2040 Ignition Rod Assembly transmits the fuse’s signal required to initiate combustion in gas-fired water heating equipment. Its electrode-based design produces a controlled electrical arc that ignites the fuel-air mixture during the start-up cycle, enabling safe burner activation and flame establishment within HVAC systems such as water heaters, storage-type heaters, and indirect-fired hot water units.
