Description
The Beckett Igniter 21981U is a critical component for gas-fired furnaces, built particularly for two-stage types. The spark it produces ignites the gas burners, initiating the heating process. With a length of 1.5 inches and a diameter of 1.5 inches, it fits and functions well in compatible furnaces. This two-stage igniter has two settings: “low” (1.6 inches) and “high” (3.5 inches). This permits the furnace to perform efficiently under a variety of heating settings. During low-stage operation, the igniter produces a lower flame to maintain moderate temperatures, but high-stage operation produces a greater flame to quickly attain the desired warmth when the furnace turns on or during periods of extreme cold.
