Description
The Armstrong International 800-3/4-20 3/4 ” inverted bucket trap which is used for condensate removal in HVAC systems, has a working pressure of 20 PSI and receives condensate at a rate of 800 lb/hr. This mechanical trap works on the concept of buoyancy in which the trap separates steam from condensate; when the trap is filled with condensate, the bucket inverts and opens the valve to discharge the condensate. When steam enters, the bucket rises and this closes the valve on top of it. This trap is used in steam heating applications such as coils and heat exchangers to improve energy efficiency through the recycling of condensate.
