The Amana-Goodman B1392640 Drain Cover is a molded plastic HVAC component used in compatible air handler systems to cover and protect drain openings within the condensate management area. It is used over drain ports or access points in the evaporator coil or air handler assembly to prevent debris and maintain proper condensate flow out of the system. It is placed in the indoor unit’s drainage section. It supports the correct routing of water away from the coil and internal cabinet, preventing overflow or internal moisture buildup during cooling operation.
