The Amana-Goodman 0231K00065 1/2HP Programmed ECM Motor is an electronically commutated motor (ECM) intended for use in a variety of HVAC equipment, such as furnaces and air handlers. ECM motors function using permanent magnets and electronic controllers, in contrast to conventional permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors. Compared to PSC motors, this design delivers increased efficiency, quieter operation, and accurate airflow control. The 0231K00065 motor is a 1/2 horsepower electronically commutated motor that has been programmed. It is designed especially to be used with HVAC systems.
