The Amana-Goodman 0161R00086 Cap Grill is used in the center of the condenser fan grille of the outdoor HVAC systems to cover it. It operates by wrapping around the grille hub space, covering the exposed mounting hardware and internal fan motor aperture, and allowing air to pass through the fan guard around it. It occupies the top centre of compatible outdoor condensing units. It is an element of the cabinet assembly that supports the enclosure structure and shields the internal fan component against debris and weather conditions during the operation of the condenser fan.
