Description
The Trane CNT08243 Low Pressure Switch is a mechanical control unit used in refrigeration systems to monitor suction-side refrigerant pressure in HVAC systems. It is installed on the low-pressure line and is connected to the systems control circuit to protect the compressor from operating under unsafe conditions. If refrigerant pressure falls below the set threshold, the switch opens the circuit and shuts down the compressor to the prevent damage caused by low refrigerant charge, restricted airflow, or the evaporator. It allows operation to resume, and it works as a protective control to ensure safe and accurate refrigeration cycle operation.
