Description
The Rheem-Ruud 61-106093-11 Thermal Expansion Valve(TXV) is a refrigerant metering part used to regulate flow into the evaporator based on load demand. It operates through a thermostatic sensing bulb and diaphragm system that adjusts valve opening in response to temperature and pressure changes, maintaining correct superheat for stable cooling performance. In HVAC systems used in air conditioning and heat pump applications it is positioned in the liquid line ahead of the evaporator coil to ensure controlled distribution. It connects through brazed or flare fittings for sealed integration. It improves compressor protection, enhances cooling efficiency and prevents evaporator flooding.
