The Regal Rexnord – Century Motors 1304A Shaft Adapter is a mechanical coupling part that convert a 5/16-inch motor shaft to a 1/2-inch shaft diameter, allowing motors with smaller output shafts to drive assemblies requiring a larger bore connection. It operates by securing onto the existing motor shaft through set screws or a keyed bore, providing a stable extended shaft interface that accepts fan blades, pulleys, or other driven parts sized for a 1/2-inch connection. Used in split systems, air handlers, and evaporator fan assemblies within HVAC systems, it is fitted directly onto the motor shaft and tightened to the specified torque.
