Description
The Sporlan Controls 902947 is a 5/8-inch head pressure control valve with a built-in strainer that is commonly used in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It serves as a dual-purpose safety device, controlling head pressure within the system and shielding internal parts from dangerous particles. The valve’s internal mechanism and pressure sensor control the head pressure, or the pressure on the compressor’s discharge side. It works in the same way as other head pressure control valves, regulating the flow of refrigerant gas to keep the pressure within a safe and ideal range. As a first line of defence, the integrated strainer collects dirt, metal shavings, and other debris that could harm the valve or other downstream system components.
