Description
The Trane SWT4488 Fan Status Switch is a pressure-based control system that is used to check the airflow in HVAC systems. It is calibrated to turn on at 0.15″ of water column static pressure to indicate the control system whether the blower fan is operating correctly or not. It is installed in air handlers, furnaces or rooftop units, and is essential to confirm airflow before heating or cooling cycles can occur. This switch will avoid system faults due to a lack of airflow and assist in the better and accurate operating of the entire equipment.
