Description
The Sporlan Controls 169502 1/4-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is refrigerant metering equipment that is used to control the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator according to the load conditions. This is installed in the air conditioners, heat pumps, or refrigeration systems of HVAC systems with inlet and outlet connections of 1/8 inch and 3/8 inch, respectively, and is calibrated with R404A refrigerant to provide a tight superheat control. It facilitates effective heat uptake, consistent cooling and system coordination by optimizing refrigerant feed based on evaporator requirements.
