Description
The NTI Boiler 64980174 Negative Temperature Coefficient Stainless Steel Flue Sensor detects exhaust gas temperature changes within flue passageways and converts thermal variation into a resistance signal for control interpretation. Its NTC element reduces electrical resistance as flue temperature increases, allowing continuous tracking of combustion exhaust conditions during heating operations. The stainless steel housing is positioned in boiler flue sections and gas-fired HVAC systems where exhaust temperature feedback is required for combustion regulation and safety sequencing. Temperature-responsive signal output assists with controlled burner operation, stabilized exhaust flow and coordinated interaction between combustion chamber activity and flue monitoring circuitry.
