The Taco 953-5007RP Casing Gasket is a sealing component used to prevent fluid leakage between the pump case and mating housing surface in circulating pump assemblies. It works by compressing between metal contact faces to create a tight, pressure-resistant seal that maintains internal hydraulic separation during pump operation. Mounted in compatible CI and FI series circulator pumps within HVAC systems such as hydronic heating systems, chilled water loops, and boiler circulation, it is fitted between the pump casing and volute during reassembly or maintenance.
