Description
The Sporlan Controls 164367 Thermostatic Expansion Valve is used to control the volume of refrigerant entering the evaporator to meet the requirements of the element and is found in the refrigeration and cooling units of HVAC systems to operate under controlled conditions. It works on the concept of detecting temperature and pressure conditions to keep superheat in check and provide efficient heat exchange. With a 1/4-ton rated capacity and allowance of R404A refrigerant, it has 3/8″ by 1/2″ ODF connections to easily used lines. It is attached to the evaporator inlet to allow the proper flow control.
