Description
The Copeland Comfort Control (Alco) 091016 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant flow regulation component designed to control the amount of liquid refrigerant entering the evaporator based on cooling demand. It is rated for 2-ton capacity and configured for R410A refrigerant use, with 3/8″ x 1/2″ connection sizing for integration into refrigeration lines. The unit includes a 5-foot capillary tube that transmits pressure signals to the sensing bulb, enabling responsive adjustment of refrigerant flow. In HVAC systems it is commonly used in air conditioning equipment to maintain proper evaporator feeding under varying operating conditions.
