The SOLER & PALAU MCA-150 DC 6” Inline Backdraft Damper TD-150 prevents reverse airflow through ventilation ductwork by automatically closing when fan operation ceases, protecting conditioned spaces from unwanted air infiltration, outdoor weather intrusion, and pressure imbalances. This gravity-operated part is mounted to circular ducts, positioning lightweight blades that swing open during active airflow and close when air movement stops. Spring-loaded or counterweighted mechanisms ensure positive seating against gaskets, creating an airtight seal that blocks backdrafts caused by wind pressure, stack effect, or competing exhaust systems. Preventing contaminated air from reversing through exhaust pathways or unconditioned outdoor air from entering supply ducts.
