Description
The Trane VAL19961 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) HXCE 2 KX is a refrigerant metering component for air conditioning and heat pump elements that regulates refrigerant flow to the evaporator coil. It has a 3″ X 4″ ODF that controls the refrigerant according to the temperature and pressure differences in the desired superheat for effective heat exchange. It is installed in the liquid line assembly of compatible equipment to maintain a balanced flow of refrigerant throughout operation and to avoid compressor overload due to improper flow conditions.
