Description
The Trane VAL08610 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) meters R22 refrigerant entering a compatible evaporator to control the refrigerant supply according to changing evaporator conditions. Its thermostatic mechanism adjusts the internal refrigerant passage as the sensing element respond to suction-line temperature. The 5/8-inch connection provides the specified interface for compatible refrigerant tubing at the evaporator circuit. The valve installs at the evaporator inlet with the sensing bulb secured to the suction line. This metering action regulates refrigerant expansion, maintain evaporator superheat and supports effective heat absorption in HVAC systems.
