The Trane KIT07614 Liquid Line Filter Kit is a refrigerant filtration element that is used to ensure clean flow of refrigerant in the system piping. It operates by passing through a filter core and moisture-absorbing media that entrap solid particles and absorb moisture when refrigerant flows through the liquid line when operating in HVAC systems with R134A refrigerant. The kit consists of one filter core and two filter shell gaskets that are installed in the liquid line filter housing between the condenser and the expansion part. Constant elimination of contaminants is beneficial to the protection of compressors and metering parts, to aid in constant refrigerant flow.
