Description
The Trane COM6436 Scroll Compressor is a heavy duty designed for high cooling applications in large commercial or industrial Trane HVAC systems; presumably air conditioners that use R-22 refrigerant, it uses R-22 is being phased out due to environmental concerns. In a closed structure, it employs a motor that rotates two concentrically located scroll-shaped parts. When these scrolls rotate, they compress the refrigerant gas and thus increases its pressure and temperature. The compressed refrigerant then circulates within the system to absorb indoor heat and release it to the outside. The has a rated capacity of 15 tons of refrigeration which is an attractive feature that shows that it is capable of handling heavy cooling loads in large buildings.
