Description
Trane HTR15994 Crankcase Heater is a standard feature in HVAC systems used to prevent refrigerant flow in non-operative periods and contribute to the compressor start-up. Having a length of 10.25 inches, width of 8.5inch and height of 3.25 inches, this crankcase heater is designed for compressors with 5.5-inch diameter only. It uses 230 VAC and 40W power input to warm the crankcase of the compressor to keep the refrigerant in a gaseous state. This heater is widely installed in Trane air conditioners and heat pump devices. Vastly, its advantage is that it provides a safeguard against refrigerant dilution of the oil, which raises the general compressor dependability, efficiency, and durability.
