Description
The Daikin-McQuay 910160067 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant metering assembly that regulates the amount of refrigerant entering the evaporator. Its sensing arrangement responds to temperature changes at the vaporizer outlet and adjusts the flow path to maintain the required refrigerant feed. The 1/2-ton capacity corresponds to the intended cooling load, while the R410A designation specifies the refrigerant for the application. Its 30″ capillary provides the required sensing connection between the valve and temperature-sensing element. It is used in air-conditioning HVAC systems to control refrigerant flow through the evaporative circuit.
