Description
The Watts 88004116 1/2″ Lead-Free Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer Assembly LF009-QT is used to stop the reverse flow of water in HVAC systems, and to ensure that potable water is not contaminated. It operates through a dual check valve design that has a pressure relief zone that releases water in case of backflow conditions that would ensure safe flow direction. It is connected to the water supply line by having a lead-free brass body, quarter-turn shutoff valves, and inspection test ports. It is useful in ensuring water safety, system protection, operation in cross-connection control applications.
