Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100281562 100-Gallon Final Burner Assembly NAT Cast Iron is used to produce the initial heating flame of gas-fired water-heating HVAC systems. Natural gas which is conveyed via the burner manifold, flows into the cast iron burner ports, where it is mixed with combustion air and ignites to create a stable flame that is used to generate heat. This set fits into the combustion chamber directly underneath the water tank and is linked to the gas supply and ignition parts. It is placed in the burner section of the heater to spread the flame evenly.
