The York S1-02212971000 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is a flow control component, used to sustain the evaporator pressure and temperature in HVAC systems. It regulates the flow of refrigerant depending on the load in the element to ensure efficient heat exchange through a thermostatic sensing element. It fits with refrigeration elements and can be mounted directly on the evaporator coil allowing the appropriate charge and better system operation at a charge pressure of 90.0 PSIG.
