Description
The York S1-02425895700 Dual Run-Capacitor is an essential part of HVAC systems. It is a unique kind of capacitor that is used with two-speed motors, which are common in compressors. This is a dual-run capacitor with a capacitance of 45 Microfarad and 5 Microfarad, which means that it can hold two different amounts of electrical charge. In the startup phase, the higher capacitance gives a better initial kick start to the motor and it runs smoothly over the inertia. As soon as the motor attains the operational speed, the capacitor changes to the lower capacitance for proper and constant running.
