Description
The Rheem-Ruud 61-102211-04 Thermal expansion valve (TXV) manufactured for use only in four-ton air conditioning and refrigeration applications. This valve measures 3/8” x 3/8” and is suitable to be used with R-410A refrigerant and has an external equalizer tube of 7-1/4”. A TXV works to regulate the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator hence acting as a control valve. In order to control the cooling efficiency, it controls the amount of refrigerant which enters the evaporator depending on the temperature and pressure. This helps to overcome issues such as floods, over-heating and under-cooling which are disastrous to the compressor and controls the performance of the system.
