Description
The Trane SWT01259 Thermal Limit switch is used to prevent HVAC equipment from reaching a high temperature. This safety part blows the electrical circuit at 190°F to turn off the system to avoid the effects of high temperatures. The temperature drops to 160°F, the switch turns on, and normal operation is possible. This switch is used in furnaces, heat pumps, and all other appliances which are involved in heating the air, and works as a security part. It avoids overheating of the system and hence conserves the life of equipment such as heat exchangers and wiring and makes the operation safe.
