Description
The Field Controls DCO1170006 Thermal Switch FTS-6 is a temperature-sensitive safety control that is used to check the temperature and shut off when the temperature is too high. It operates by using a thermal sensing element that opens a single-pole, single-throw manual reset contact that opens at 180 degrees Fahrenheit, which is used to protect venting equipment rated 400,000 BTU and higher when it is used in HVAC systems of furnace and boilers. The switch is mounted in the vent or draft control circuit at the point of exposure of the sensing surface to heat of the system and the electrical terminals are connected to the control wiring.
