Description
The Trane VAL9480A is a Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) designed specifically for the Trane HVAC systems that use R410A refrigerant. Unlike most other valves that are used in flow systems, this valve is crucial in regulating the flow of the refrigerant in this system. It is much like an electronic switch that controls the amount of refrigerant that flows into the evaporator coil. The Trane optimizes system performance and ensures maximum cooling capacity by controlling the flow based on the temperature and pressure, typically 700 PSI.
