Description
The Trane COM12772 is a scroll compressor, an essential part of Trane and other AC systems using the R410A refrigerant. While the piston type of compressor moves up and down, scroll compressors use two continuous spiral scrolls to compress refrigerant vapor. This design means that it runs more efficiently and quietly than most conventional compressors and is less complicated. The length of this Trane compressor is 9.23″ and its height is 10.37″. It has a cooling capacity of 14,700 BTU which qualifies it for residential or light commercial use. It is a single phase 208/230V, 60Hz electrical power supply and employs Polyolester (POE) oil for lubrication and compatibility with R410A refrigerant.
