Description
The Trane CTR2845 is a heavy duty contactor for use on commercial and industrial HVAC applications. It’s designed to handle large currents (40 Amps) and voltages (600V). It is 3-pole architecture that allows it to turn on and off multiple electrical circuits within the HVAC system at one time. The contactor is an essentially heavy duty relay which responds to control signals from thermostats or other controllers by opening or closing electrical connections through the use of electromagnetism. It gives accurate control to the high power parts of the HVAC system such as motors, heaters, and compressors. Consequently, the solid structure ensures the correct operation and prolongs the life of the system.
