Description
The Watts 0556015 is a 3/4-inch temperature and pressure relief (T&P) valve that is commonly used in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) equipment, particularly boilers and water heaters. When these levels rise above the predetermined thresholds, it releases water or steam automatically to protect the system from excessive pressure or temperature build-up. With NPT (National Pipe Thread) connections for simple installation, the valve is composed of lead-free brass for longevity and resistance to corrosion. It has an automatic reseating mechanism to provide continued protection, tamper-resistant bonnet screws to prevent tampering, and a thermo-bonded coated thermostat for precise temperature readings.
