The Tecumseh K90-104 Overload Kit is a compressor protection component used in hermetic refrigeration and to safeguard the motor during abnormal operating conditions within HVAC systems. It is typically installed on compatible compressors in air conditioning units, commercial refrigeration equipment and heat pump systems. The kit monitors electrical current and temperature rise in the compressor windings, tripping the circuit when overload or locked-rotor conditions occur.
