Description
The Regal Rexnord Marathon H683 is a single-phase electric motor that is widely used in HVAC equipment. This motor is classified as fractional horsepower because it produces less than one horsepower—in this example, one-third horsepower. This motor has a dual voltage range and can run on either 120 or 240 volts, making it suitable for a variety of electrical systems. It rotates at a rate of 1725 revolutions per minute, producing a dependable and consistent rotating force. The term “48Y” most likely relates to the motor’s frame size and design. The H683 motor may be used in HVAC blowers to circulate air throughout a heating or cooling system. It could also be utilized in condenser fan motors, which remove hot air from the air conditioner.
