Description
The Sporlan Controls 163718 is an 11-ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) developed for use in large commercial air conditioning systems with R22 refrigerant. It serves as a vital part, closely regulating the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil to guarantee peak system efficiency and performance. An inbuilt sensor in the TXV keeps an eye on the pressure inside the evaporator coil all the time. The temperature differential between the refrigerant vapour exiting the evaporator and its saturation temperature at the current pressure is known as the superheat, and this is what the pre-set valve is designed to maintain. In response to the discrepancy between the intended superheat and the observed pressure, the TXV automatically adjusts its internal channel.
