The Sporlan Controls 168862 is a 35-ton thermal expansion valve intended for use in commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems containing R410A refrigerant. By controlling the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil, this valve is essential to preserving maximum system efficiency. It operates by measuring the temperature of the refrigerant vapor exiting the evaporator and modifying the liquid refrigerant flow by that measurement.
