The Sporlan Controls 168760 5-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant control valve used in HVAC systems with R-22 refrigerant. One of its essential features is that this TXV successfully controls the refrigerant flow to the evaporator depending on its cooling requirements. ODF connections of 1/2” X 5/8” are provided for perfect connectivity within the system. The TXV achieves superheat control to provide maximum cooling capacity, avoid the circulation of liquid refrigerant to the compressor, and improve system performance.
