Description
The York S1-025-45283-000 Thermal Expansion Valve is critical in regulating the flow of refrigerant in an HVAC system. This valve is for a 3-ton capacity with a 3/8″x1/2″ ODF connection and has a 30” capillary tube. Its primary function is to control the flow of the refrigerant to the evaporator core so that air conditioning heating and cooling systems function and run to the highest capacity. This valve regulates refrigerant pressure and temperature thus ensuring that the evaporator does not freeze and improveing total efficiency. It enhances the cooling capacity, and power usage efficiency which in turn reduces operational costs and increases equipment duration.
