Description
The Trane COM11193 Scroll Compressor is now a discontinued model, but it was a robust compressor meant for efficient cooling of medium sized homes and small commercial buildings. This particular model of Trane used a scroll system of operation, unlike the conventional piston compressors. Within the encased body, a pair of entwined scrolls operate as a turbo pump, squeezing refrigerant gas. This design was realised as a 3.2-ton air conditioning system, which would be sufficient to handle moderate to large cooling loads in homes and small buildings. The Trane COM11193 also came with R-22 refrigerant, a choice that is increasingly becoming restricted environmentally.
