Description
The Trane VAL11162 is a Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) designed for the R-410A refrigerant system with a capacity ranging from 1.5 to 2 tons. A TXV or a throttling device controls the flow amount of refrigerant in an AC system. This unit receives liquid refrigerant from the condenser then its pressure is reduced before it enters the evaporator coil. This pressure drop is relevant because it aids the refrigerant in the overheating process – it intensifies cooling. The TXV controls and measures the refrigerant flow into the evaporator temperature to maintain the better cooling and efficiency.
