The Trane COM10848 Compressor is a robust compressor built for commercial and industrial use with an environmentally friendly refrigerant, R-410A. This Trane compressor is not a piston type of compressor but a scroll type of compressor that is efficient in its operation. In the sealed housing a fixed and an orbiting scroll compress refrigerant gas and thereby increases the pressure. This 4-ton capacity compressor (49,000 BTUH) is ideal for cooling spaces with high cooling loads. Refrigerant circulation is achieved through brazed stub tubes that come in a discharge size of ½”.
