Description
The Sporlan Controls 168761 5-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is produced for R-22 refrigerant in HVAC systems such as AC units and heat pumps. This TXV is also an essential aspect in achieving the required control on the amount of refrigerant that needs to flow into the evaporator coil at any given instance on the cooling requirement of the system. It has ODF connections of 1/2” X 7/8” to allow for correct connection. The TXV regulates the flow of the refrigerant to enhance the cooling capacity, prevents liquid refrigerant from flowing back to the compressor, and improves the general performance of the system. It results in increased energy utilization, steady cooling, and increased longevity of the equipment.
