Description
The Supco IG410 Furnace Ignitor is a silicon carbide hot surface ignition component used to light gas burners in furnaces, boilers, and other heating equipment. It heats up when electrical current passes through it and reaches ignition temperature to start the combustion process during system startup. It is connected to the control circuit through insulated leads that allow proper electrical flow to the ignitor element. Within HVAC systems, it is positioned in the burner assembly section to support controlled ignition of gas-fired heating cycles in residential and light commercial applications.
