Description
The Carrier HH19ZA990 Limit Switch is a small component in HVAC systems. It is an automatic shutoff switch, with a spring loaded mechanism and internal contacts. If the temperatures inside the HVAC system go above a set point limit, which in this case is 160 °F (71 °C), the switch trips, breaking the electrical flow and shutting the system down. However, if temperatures drop below another setpoint, usually 40°F (4°C) for this model, the switch will also shutoff.
