The Trane BAYLPKT029E is a 2-stage Liquid Propane conversion kit to convert the single-stage natural gas furnace to the 2-stage LP furnace. This package replaces the natural gas orifices with LP-specific ones to permit the furnace to efficiently and safely burn LP gas. These LP orifices are designed for the lower pressure and higher heating value of LP gas than that of natural gas. This conversion kit is normally fitted by HVAC technicians during a furnace or during conversion when a home has no natural gas supply. Two-stage operation allows the furnace to operate at a lower level for the less severe conditions, and thus provide more even temperature across your house. This also means reduced energy consumptions and therefore reduced energy bills.
