Description
The Trane COM11996 is a scroll compressor, a part of the air conditioning equipment for homes and businesses. Scroll compressors are different from older piston compressors in that the scroll compressor uses two helical spiral scrolls to compress the refrigerant vapor. There are several advantages in this design. Constructed from cast iron, this is designed for use and is capable of handling constant usage. It has a cooling 19,500 BTU capacity. This compressor is a single-phase 230 V electric supply compressor using Polyolester oil for both lubrication and compatibility with R-410A refrigerant. Brazed or stub tube connections allow a certain amount of flexibility during installation.
