Description
The Trane VAL12355 is a 3/8”x 1/2” Thermal expansion valve suitable for R410A refrigerant systems and has approximately 2 tonnage capability. A TXV is an essential component in refrigeration and air conditioning applications. It works as an intelligent refrigerant flow controller of within the evaporator coil area. When the air that circulates over the evaporator attracts heat, the refrigerant within the coil also cools. The TXV detects this temperature change through a thermal actuator. Depending on the given temperature, a valve controls the refrigerant amount that is allowed to enter the coil. It is usually applied in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment such as air conditioning and heat pumps.
