Trane CTR1466 is Contactor a powerful electrical component used for managing large loads in Trane affecting HVAC systems, probably big air conditioning or heating appliances. This contactor is approximately 21.8 inches in length. It is designed for longevity with a NEMA Size 5DP enclosure and has lugs for making wire connections. Because of its size it is advised that it be professionally installed in order to avoid accidents. This Contactor works in a similar fashion to a magnetically controlled on/off switch. When energized, a coil within the contactor gets attracted a metal armature so as to close the circuit.
